April - Tour of UNI Metal Casting Center

SME 186’s monthly meeting will be a tour at the University of Northern Iowa’s Industrial Technology Department Metal Casting Center (MCC). The tour will be given by Dr. Arindam Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Industrial Technology Department, UNI. A technical presentation on “Metal Casting Research at the University of Northern Iowa” will also be delivered by Mr. Jerry Thiel, Director, MCC. An overview of SME’s scholarship and certification programs will also be delivered by Mr. Wayne F. Frost, CMfgE, CQA, C.P.M., Senior Quality Engineer, John Deere Waterloo Works.

Tour Instructions – Park in front of ITC Building. Safety Glasses are recommended.
