SME 186’s April meeting will be a tour of East Iowa Plastics in Independence, IA.
East Iowa Plastics is a diversified, custom plastics processor specializing in prototyping, design, fabrication and finishing of thermoformed and injection molded products. They also prototype products for other forms of manufacturing, serving clients, large and small, in consumer and industrial markets.
They produce a wide range of thermoformed products to suit residential, commercial, transportation, and agricultural needs. Quality building products for the home include window awnings, door canopies, exterior shutters, decorative top caps, and exterior bezel fixture mountings. Thermoformed products include light hoods, durable chick feeder trays, egg flats and agricultural ventilation doors. The 5th wheel lube liner is another plastic product which serves as an economical solution for the truck fleet operator. This high density polyethylene disc is designed to provide constant lubrication for the fifth wheel plate of a tractor-trailer.
