Company Profile:
UnityPoint is the leader in providing health care and providing patient center services for a 10- county area. The Prairie Parkway is the newest facility, providing a new care model. Conveniently located on 20 acres in Pinnacle Prairie, the area's fastest-growing retail center, the new campus will provide patient-centered, coordinated, comprehensive care in one location. Instead of asking patients to travel to multiple providers and clinics in the metro area, Prairie Parkway will offer a full range of services in a 90,000-square-foot anchor building.
During this tour we will learn what lean principles went into building this facility along with the metrics that are measured to ensure patient care continues at the high level UnityPoint strives to deliver. Including, but not limited, to any mistake proofing to reduce errors to ensure the patients get the right care and medicine.
Prairie Parkway is not a hospital. It will focus on outpatient preventive care - keeping people out of the hospital instead of building more beds. United Medical Park will continue operating in its current location as a stronghold for ambulatory surgery, specialty care, and urgent care.
