Annual Joint Meeting of SME/ASABE/SAE/ASME/SWE

You are invited to attend the annual Joint Section Meeting of the following engineering societies:

American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers [ASABE], Iowa Section

Society of Automotive Engineers [SAE], Mississippi Valley Section

American Society of Mechanical Engineers [ASME], Central Iowa Section

Society of Manufacturing Engineers [SME], Waterloo Chapter

Society of Women Engineers [SWE], Cedar Valley Section

The meeting will be held at the Clarion Hotel (5826 University Ave, Cedar Falls, IA 50613) in Cedar Falls, Iowa on Thursday, November 17th, 2016.

Keynote Speaker: “The HoloLens Revolution – and beyond” – Dr. Rafael Radkowski [Assistant Professor at Iowa State University]

Technical session topics will be:

1. “Cyclone Space Miners” – ISU Space Miner Members

2. “Road Construction Techniques and Equipment”—Willie Calderwood [Cedar Valley Corporation]

Optional tour: John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum

o This will be a self-guided tour available to all attendees.

o Pick the tour option during registration if you plan to attend, the cost is $4/person, paid at the time of registration

Agenda for the evening:

- John Deere Museum Visit (500 Westfield Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701): 2:30 pm

- Registration starts: 4:00 pm

- Concurrent Technical Sessions: 5:00 pm

- Social Hour: 6:00 pm (ISU student groups and ToolingU will have display booths)

- Dinner Buffet: 6:45 pm

- Evening Speaker: 7:30 pm
